From Here to Our Homelands!

 

The Defend Migrants Alliance in collaboration with allied organizations across the country has called for a national Week of Action from December 10 (International Human Rights Day) to December 18 (International Migrants Day) under the banner: Defend Migrants, from Here to Our Homelands!

Since Trump's inauguration, fascist attacks by government agents in ICE, CBP, and the National Guard have escalated against migrants, organizers, and the working class. There are almost 60,000 people in ICE facilities, a majority of whom have no criminal convictions.

 

The past few weeks we have had significant campaign victories across the Defend Migrants Alliance, such as:

• Release of Alma Bowman from detention in Georgia

• Clear immigration hearing for 6-yr old Victoria in WA

• Stop of Deportation & Temporary Restraining Order of Deportation for Kuya G!

• Successful community support of Kuya Ricky’s ICE appointment!

 

However, we have many campaigns that we are still waging and the fight continues such as:

• The fight for José who is fighting to appeal his case and suffering from medical violence from his violent detention by ICE! Sign the petition

• The fight to Bring Tita Rebecca Home for the Holidays!

• and many more fights for others in detention and to get ICE out of our communities!

 

At this time when the stakes have never been higher, we must continue to link our struggles and demand an end to the fascist attacks on our people. We need all people to join the fight and we call on organizations and individuals to take up this Defend Migrants Week of Action under the banner: Defend Migrants, from Here to Our Homelands!
