Points of Unity
The Tanggol Migrante Movement and International Migrants Alliance - USA invite all to build one fight and a united alliance to “Defend Migrants!” across the U.S. These are the points of unity that will guide and drive the work of the Defend Migrants Alliance together.

We unite to support and defend the rights of migrants, workers, and all those affected by the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown (at air/land/sea borders and in the interior against ICE raids of workplaces, schools, hospitals, and communities), and to empower the leadership of those most impacted in this movement, including the families of detained and deported migrants.

We unite to hold governments accountable – including both US and home country government institutions – to fulfill their responsibilities in ensuring the rights and welfare of the people.

We unite to expose and oppose the for-profit system of corporations benefiting from inhumane migrant detention and deportation operations and the collusion of government agencies including ICE in repressing and surveilling our communities, here and in our homelands.

We unite to grow our movement by bringing in others to the alliance to defend our communities through organizing, advocacy, and other forms of action.
El Movimiento Tanggol Migrante y la Alianza Internacional de Migrantes -EE. UU. invitan a todos a construir una lucha conjunta y una alianza para "¡Defender a los Migrantes!" en todo Estados Unidos. Estos son los puntos de unidad que guiarán e impulsarán el trabajo conjunto de la Alianza para la Defensa de los Migrantes.

Nos unimos para apoyar y defender los derechos de los migrantes, los trabajadores y todos aquellos afectados por la represión migratoria de la administración Trump (en las fronteras aéreas, terrestres y marítimas, y en el interior contra las redadas de ICE en lugares de trabajo, escuelas, hospitales y comunidades), y para empoderar el liderazgo de los más afectados por este movimiento, incluyendo a las familias de los migrantes detenidos y deportados.

Nos unimos para exigir responsabilidades a los gobiernos, incluyendo a las instituciones gubernamentales de Estados Unidos y de sus países de origen, para que cumplan con sus responsabilidades de garantizar los derechos y el bienestar de las personas.

Nos unimos para denunciar y oponernos al sistema lucrativo de corporaciones que se benefician de operaciones inhumanas de detención y deportación de migrantes, así como a la connivencia de agencias gubernamentales, incluyendo ICE, para reprimir y vigilar nuestras comunidades, tanto aquí como en nuestros países.

Through a united alliance we can continue to strengthen our fight together, and wage more effective campaigns ahead including:

to get ICE out of our workplaces, schools, hospitals and communities

to defend and free more migrants in detention and facing deportation

to protect and defend migrant workers from exploitation, wage theft and labor trafficking
-
to shut down the expanding for-profit detention centers and the deportation machine
-
and to ultimately hold governments accountable to the rights and welfare of migrants, workers, and all people resisting fascist attacks, exploitation and oppression, and forced migration, from here to our homelands.
