In lead up to July 4th this year, 250 years of the US, there were 10,000 detentions in one week alone. Daily detentions of our neighbors, co-workers, friends, family, and loved ones are becoming common occurrences and most everyone knows someone in detention or impacted by these escalating attacks. Trump is demanding a 2000 migrants detained per day quota from ICE -- this is leading to arbitrary and violent arrests and in the worst cases resulting in death, as in the case of Lorenzo and Johan. Migrant workers are the most impacted in being swept into the detention and deportation system impacting not only themselves but their families, coworkers, and communities.

 

We invite all community members to share the stories of the people, our community, who are impacted by Trump's 2000 a day detention quota.
